註釋This report is a synopsis of one of 12 policy dialogues in which a moderator guided a panel of leading health care experts in a discussion focussing on a priority health issue for Canadians. This dialogue opens with a presentation that situated the context of the discussion on health care and globalization. It continues with presentations & discussions on the following issues: protection of the Canadian public medical system in all international trade negotiations; whether government should pay for a health care service outside of Canada that is either not available or not available on a timely basis in Canada; and negotiation of the free flow of health care professionals in international trade agreements.
