註釋Abraham Kieffer Jr., a Huguenot, and his family immigrated from the Palatinate of the Alsace-Lorraine area to Philadelphia in 1748. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Keefer) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois and elsewhere.
