IDENTIFICATION OF THE FORMS OF USE AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION USED BY PATIENTS IN TREATMENT OF CERVICAL CANCER
註釋Cervical cancer (CCU) accounts for 265,000 deaths worldwide each year. In Brazil, it killed 6,385 women in 2017, being the 4th cause of death of the female population due to cancer in the country. Due to this, the purpose of this work is to identify the use. Methodology: This project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee. The methodology used was the elaboration of diverse questions about education, family, social media and access to information to patients undergoing CCU treatment from the Oncology Control Center Foundation (FCecon), under previous signature of the Free and Informed Consent Form. Results:The results showed that among the patients interviewed, 85.2% use mobile phones. Regarding the internet, 65.6% of women have easy access in the region where they live and the most sought after subjects are health 28% and social network 22%. Regarding the use of Facebook, 47.2% of them use it. The most used means of communication and information was television, being the most watched programs: newspaper and soap opera. When asked about getting information about UCC before diagnosis, almost half of them were unaware. Slightly more than half of the patients said that it was easy to find information on the subject after diagnosis. Conclusion: Through this research, it was concluded that the patients' serious lack of knowledge regarding the disease is intrinsically related to the lack of investments in education and health in the state of Amazonas. In addition, the poor financial conditions, lack of infrastructure and the difficulty in the media and access to health information faced by patients means that they do not gain knowledge about cancer.
