The Anomaly
註釋This is Anton's collection of recent memoirs, stories and essays which virtually form the third part of a trilogy describing a life in the last seventy years in many parts of the globe. The first book, 'Pip's Young Years of Love and Depression', covers the years from 1942 to 1973 and appeared a couple of months before the second book, 'Life's Lines', an anthology of Anton's recent poetry. 'The Anomaly' dips into the author's own thoughts, reflections and amusing stories of every aspect of life. It is a great read and very definitely explains its title. If ever there was an anomaly in this world it is the author and how he tells many of his stories as 'Pip' or himself. The fourth book, which would complete an unintentional quartet, is a novel being written like the first with 'Pip' telling Anton the later adventures of his, and his great friend Hugh's, almost unbelievable lives with their own and adopted children. This fourth book, should be finished and in print within the next couple of months which would mean all four of Anton's recent works were comleted in the nine months from late August 2017 to May 2018. This current volume of idle thoughts, spiritual reflections and often hilarious stories can be dipped into in any sequence, as can the poems in 'life's Line's.' Together, the books are form a very readable account of the post WW2 world, through the cold war to the digital age. Anton has given the final book the working title, "Why Me?", with a wonderful twist at the end.
