ife is a Bowl of Toilets and I Clean Them is a humorous sort of time-travel -- traveling through the best and worst times in my life. The things that seem so routine today were so puzzling, scary, intimidating, exciting, and enlightening when I was growing up. Today we see everything on TV -- feminine hygiene products, sexy underwear, jock itch spray...all things that were taboo to speak of back in the day. You just didn't talk about those things. Parents ruled the roost in the '50s and '60s, not the kids. Where did we go wrong? I didn't have expectations as a child, but life's experiences have taught me to expect certain things as I've grown older. I've been through a lot and survived. My kids didn't kill me and we still like each other, so I must have done something right. Maybe you'll see a little of your life in my book. My secret desire has always been to be a stand-up comedienne. Making people laugh and looking for humor in things that aren't always funny have seen me through the tough times in my life. I'm happily married with two grown sons, and my husband Kelly is my best audience.
