At one point in his life he lost sight of what God had intended for him to do. In 2017 he was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), a disorder of the nerves that caused him to lose the ability of walking and using his hands. Though this disorder can be much more debilitating, the months that he spent in recovery and therapy gave Owen the opportunity to focus on the blessings in his life, rather than his condition. During that journey, he found a new relationship with Jesus Christ and learned what true blessings really are.
