The Jurisdiction of the Sultan of Zanzibar and the Subjects of Foreign Nations
註釋Thought to have been written by a Zanzibarian at the end of the nineteenth century it explains the jurisdiction of the Sultan of Zanzibar as regards foreign nationals resident there. It proceeds with information on the administration of justice and penalties. The last part of the text describes the different categories of people employed in administration and military sections, their dress and their characteristics. The introduction places the text in its historical context and provides information on the author and the spelling of Swahili text in the Arabic script and language.
