Fixing American Policing
註釋Dr. McKee begins this book with what was once a bold assertion that policing in America is broken. Based on a 2016 paper he wrote with his colleague Dr. Andre Lewis, McKee asserts that a new paradigm of community policing is the solution. A major contention of the book is that America has already developed the tools needed to fix policing, we just need a systematic way of thinking about those changes as a whole (a theoretical framework), and to develop the political will to implement them. The failure of previous attempts to install community policing is examined, and prescriptions are made on how those problems can be avoided in the future.
