Following on from 'Houses of the Twenties and Thirties' by the same author, the book discusses house styles, colour schemes, furniture, furnishings and fittings, gardens and memorabilia. Includes chapter notes, a bibliography and an index. Substantially illustrated with photographs, reproduced drawings and floor plans. The author was the first curator of history at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat, and now works as a consultant in period restoration.
