The Moon Hare
註釋An Indian story from the Buddhist tradition. Four animal friends try to prove their willingness to give food to the poor. The King of the gods, Sakka, appears to them as a beggar, and the monkey, jackal and otter offer him a share of their food. The fourth friend, the hare, eats only grass, but offers a much more precious gift.
