The research Volunteering activities to combat long term unemployment was implemented by Movit, National agency for Erasmus+: Youth in action programme and ECORYS, British national agency for Erasmus+: Youth in action. Over the past 2 years this research project has collaborated with 16 organisations from 9 different countries across Europe active in Volunteering Activities. Through these organisations, this project has met with and interviewed 43 young people during their 'Volunteering Activities' journeys - the majority of whom were young people with fewer opportunities (herein YPFO). The project interviewed the young people and key staff members of the organisations, the aim was to better understand the impact of these projects on the employability of the young people and, also, to share examples of effective practice and innovative partnerships amongst the organisations involved.
