註釋
The science of sociology, which attempts to give rational explanations for social behaviour, is the subject of this volume. The aim of the author is to introduce, explain and illustrate the major sociological concepts. The author begins with an overall view of the social sciences and lucidly comments on the social nature of man as seen by the philosophers and theologians. Then, taking the two fundamental concepts of culture and society, he describes their operation as systems and their interrelated natures. Personality and the social group operate through interaction and communication and these two basic sociological terms are stressed by the author to emphasize their central importance in sociology.
