註釋
Waterfront is one of the most complex and challenging urban lands in cities. It is very critical to understand the changing structure of urban waterfront and their integration with the existing city structure. Specially, the port zones, that experienced significant transformations throughout the history. They are remarkable for the economic progress for the city. But limited unutilized space along the river corridor could be a challenge to develop, in the effort to bring back people towards the river. The Kuala Lumpur history began at the confluence of sungai Klang and Sungai Gombak where Chinese landed for tin miners. This confluence area must be given the chance to recapture their past glory back and being memorable and distinct for future. Compact development, polluted river water, flash flood and limited space are being the reasons why this research project is carried out. The issue where river are channelized byconcrete and has been raised. This project aims to reclaim a pubic realm along the riverside of Sungai Klang and Sungai Gombak to bring back the glory of th past.
