The Guide to Lezíria do Tejo Certified Restaurants is a pioneer project launched by the Regional Tourism Office to promote the 35 restaurants that have achieved the Seal of Certification. This distinction resulted from an evaluation of Ribatejo cuisine inspired by centuries-old recipes and the use of endogenous products, excellence of the service and the carefully presented premises, menus and wine lists. These are the values present in the certified restaurants that, in perfect harmony with the Confraria da Gastronomia do Ribatejo – responsible for drawing up the Lezíria do Tejo Gastronomic Charter – contribute towards the promotion of a valuable heritage.
This Guide shows us Traditional, Typical, Informal and Contemporary restaurants that have one common aim: that of preserving the art and flavours of Ribatejo.
