註釋"12 portraits, 6 are steel engravings by H.W.Smith, in stipple and line and 6 are intaglio halftones by the Heliographic Engraving Co., NY. The von Egloffstein heliographic halftones are all from retouched photographs that mimic the steel engravings. The portrait of Alonzo Hill uses a ruled rectangular background of approx. 165 lines per inch, the only portrait of the 6 to do so." -- David Hanson documentation.
