註釋This report presents an overview of findings from Youth'12, the third national health and wellbeing survey of secondary school students in New Zealand (8,500 students took part in the survey). The report includes findings from the 2001 and 2007 surveys to identify trends over time. Among other findings, the authors point to a marked reduction in tobacco, alcohol and drug use by young people over this time period. However, they also note that high numbers of young people are emotionally distressed, bullied, using contraception inconsistently, exposed to violence and/or are overweight. Survey results are described in the following sections: Culture and Ethnicity; Home and Families; School; Health and Access to Healthcare; Nutrition, Exercise and Activities; Emotional Wellbeing; Substance Use and Gambling; Gender Identity, Sexuality and Sexual Health; Motor Vehicle Risk Behaviours and Violence; Community and Contribution.
