The Cyberspace is Not a "no Law Land"
註釋This document presents a detailed examination of content-related Internet liability for Internet service providers, bulletin board services, newsgroups, and other related services. It also discusses information controls, privacy issues, and the protection of works, and describes policy models presently discussed or implemented in Canada and other countries. Reference is made throughout to relevant case law, mainly from Canada and the United States, with respect to the possible impacts on all major stakeholders with respect to provider roles and responsibilities, liability criteria, and trends or divergences in court decisions. Sections of the document focus on the following types of Internet content: obscenity, pornography, trade marks, and copyrighted materials. There is also a section discussing civil liability and Internet situations generating such liability.
