Re-imagining the Divine
註釋Religious feminism is at an impasse. On the one hand, its demands for theological inclusivity find little support in the traditional Christian doctrines. On the other hand, feminist worshipers claim ever more robust experiences of divinity that give substance to their new language and images for the divine. Meanwhile, a backlash has arisen against feminist theologians and leaders of feminist spiritual movements. Contending that the plethora of divine images cannot all be disclosures of God, those leading the charge have made accusations of heresy, idolatry, and self-aggrandizement.
