註釋Edmund Scarborough (1587-1635) was born in England and immigrated to America. He settled in Virginia with his wife, Hannah Butter, and three children. He and his son, Edmund Scarborough (1618-1671) were members of the House of Burgesses for Northampton County, Virginia. One of his descendants was Warren A. Scarbrough (b.1849) who was probably born in North Carolina where the family had lived for several generations. Warren married Susannah Frances Castleberry in Monroe County, Georgia and they became the parents of eight children. Descendants live in Georgia.
