A diary of a young Jewish girl on her experiences between 1941-44. Describes the deportation of the population of her hometown Cimpulung (Bukovina) in October 1941 to the Djurin ghetto (camp) in Transnistria. Of the 4,800 persons who arrived there from Bukovina, only 800 survived. Pp. 13-26 contain a chapter on the history of Bukovina's Jews in the 19th-20th centuries, including antisemitism, written by Andrei Hoisie. Pp. 35-49 contain an introductory family chronicle by the author's sister, Sylvia Hoisie-Korber. Pp. 127-157 contain an English essay by Henry L. Eaton, "Killed - the Massacre of Yassy 1941", reprinted from "Die Schoah von Babij Jar" (1991).
