註釋A collection of documents tracing the history of the Lastic youth center in Rosans and the deportation of 25 young Jewish refugees from there in the autumn of 1942, 22 of whom perished in Auschwitz. The center, established earlier that year by Abbé Glasberg for young inmates of the camps of Gurs and Rivesaltes, had 33 residents at the time of the big roundups in August 1942, in which 10,000 foreign Jews were arrested in the south of France. Concludes that the case of Lastic illustrates the collaborationist attitude of local Vichy officials.
