The Frari's Basilica
註釋Around 1225, Friars from Assisi arrived in Venice and were given land on which to build a church. This was replaced by the present Basilica, finished in 1420. Since that time, the building has become the home to numerous paintings and other works of art. This lavishly illustrated book describes the Basilica, both inside and outside, but mainly with reference to the artworks which include Titian's Assumption.
