Upper Paleozoic Evaporites of Southeastern Canada
註釋The evaporite deposits of Atlantic Canada have been known for many years and have been mined for both salt and potash. This report presents the results of a study undertaken to help assess the feasibility of mining some of the undeveloped deposits and also to evaluate their potential for underground storage of hydrocarbons or industrial wastes. A regional synthesis of deposits is given, describing 28 areas in text, cross-sections, and geological and geophysical maps. The bulletin concludes with a brief description of the mechanics of salt flow with reference to the salt of the Windsor Group of Atlantic Canada.
