註釋This booklet provides a first historical overview of Namibian publishing from 1830 to the present (1994). It concludes with a discussion on the current problems and prospects of the Namibian publishing industry; among others, the small market (especially for local languages), limited buying power of the majority, the dependency from government (educational) expenditure, the undeveloped book trade network, poor marketing, and the cost of Namibian printing are identified as limiting factors. (wh '95).
