註釋
Zebordee's journey begins when he is asked to leave his home in the anthill. He was a very lazy ant who never did his share of the work. After traveling in circles, he stumbles into a huge flower garden and stops to look at the beautiful colors and Miss Cori Jake, who was watering the thirsty blooms. The sun was very hot that day, and Miss Cori Jake became overpowered by the heat and bright sunshine, and she fainted! Zebordee knew that he must act quickly, so he ran back and forth across her face to wake her. After waking and finding her new friend, she decides to return the favor by giving Zebordee a new home. In addition to being an intriguing story with beautiful illustrations, this book teaches valuable lessons to children. First, that they must always pitch in and do their share of the workload, and second, that carrying out a kind deed is always the best thing to do.
