註釋"Building Meaning" is a sixteen-week curriculum that utilizes a mixture of traditional and digital art, along with design thinking and digital storytelling methods within a constructivist theoretical framework to promote student learning and mastery in the use of 21st century learning practices. Piloted in a private school setting in north suburban Chicago, 22 students, ages 14-15, representing a diverse group of learners, participated in bi-weekly sessions to create, plan, and develop personal story videos surrounding the design of community change. A pre and post survey methodology was utilized to measure student perceptions of their experience regarding change and their communities. Results of this study indicated increased learning and mastery with considerable shifts in the subjects' personal awareness from multiple dimensions.
