Les mots sous les notes
註釋Music influenced the entire corpus of Romain Rolland's literary works. He wrote that music had guided him in the first steps of his life, was his first, and probably last love. As founder of French musicology, Romain Rolland helped rediscover Baroque opera and ardently defended music at the beginning of the twentieth century. This study reevaluates the singular combined esthetic of literature and music to which Rolland dedicated his life. French text.
