Great Expectations
註釋One of Dickens’ most famous novels, Great Expectations is a coming-of-age story chronicling the trials and tribulations of Pip Pirrip, a destitute orphan who comes into a vast fortune left to him by an unknown benefactor. Exploring themes of social class, justice and love, the novel follows Pip as he faces various moral quandaries and encounters curious characters, like Abel Magwitch, the convict with a heart of gold and the lovely, proud Estella, whom Pip is deeply in love with.
