註釋
The spider crabs of the family Hymenosomatidae are one of the most poorly known branchyuran crabs in Southeast Asia. This is largely attributed to their small size and cryptic nature. Despite the many of decapods in Southeast Asia (excluding Philippines), only six species of hymenosomatids are known. Of these, two genera and five species were only described in the last two years. Singapore has the most number of species (four), probably because it has been the best explored, while Thailand has only two species. There are no records of jhymenosomatids from Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo or Java. The hymenosomatid fauna is perhaps best studied in Australia, where 28% of the 29 known species were discovered only in the last 11 years.
