A former sea captain and his wife buy a house that is 120 years old. Boogery Mungo and Umbriago, two fantasy characters, have been there from the beginning. They are left there when very small and charged with collecting, storing and dispersing the memories made by the humans who live in the house. The two grow as these memories are absorbed into their bodies. The story is told in decades from 1900 to 2020+ as these two reminisce about events that happened or were told in the house on Stone Street. There is history of each decade as experienced by the humans who lived or were associated with the house. Boo and Iago (as they are nicknamed) must record and organize and keep these memories as near the truth as possible to be dispersed as necessary and experienced by the reader.
When the house is demolished and becomes a parking lot the two disburse these memories and transition into the next generation of their kind (fantasy characters) and prepare to begin their adventures teaching the younger ones the importance of collecting and disbursing memories for the benefit of humans.
