Ortega's Bell
註釋Ortega's Bell is a tale of adventure and discovery. It is about the travels of Diego Velasco, a young priest, and Pablo Vilma, a retired military officer, as they search for the legendary village of Madrone. According to the legend, Father Ortega and a dutiful servant named Homero, took a valuable bell to Madrone for safe keeping during the revolution for independence before 1820. Madrone had been abandoned by the middle of the century, and the bell was never seen again. Although just a legend, there bell is still the target of fortune seekers. The time frame for this novel is the early 1880s, and the setting is the Rio Grande borderlands.
