This work, which reflects German supremacy in forensic medicine during the 17th and 18th centuries, is divided into three sections. The first section contains medical cases reporting death by poisoning, lethal wounds, sexual attacks and other criminal acts. The second section deals with medico-legal aspects including medical investigation of murter to expert testimony in cases of suspected abortion, infanticide, homicide and suicide. The third section deals with the practical aspects such as the creation of archives and how to fill out a medical examiner's report.
