“Sitting in a treestand, surveying God’s wonderful creation has led me time and time again back to His Holy Word. As the years go by, I find myself digging into Scripture to uncover the treasures and promises buried therein. The quiet of the woods helps me to concentrate on the words of the Apostle Paul or the lessons of Jesus Christ between scanning the hunt area for flashes of tan or flicks of an impatient tail. God has used my love of the wild places to ‘sharpen my sword’ many times and to communicate His truth to me through revelation and analogy. These ‘treestand devotionals’ started off as emails to Christian brothers during deer season, however, they have taken off into this collection of 52 weekly devotionals. My hope and prayer is that they will edify a larger body of believers and continue to glorify our Father in Heaven.”
