The Jews and Modern Capitalism
註釋This is an exact reproduction of of M. Epsteins' translation of Werner Sombert's classic 1911 treatise, "Die Juden und das Wirtschaftsleben". Sombart's 1911 book, Die Juden und das Wirtschaftsleben (The Jews and Modern Capitalism), is an addition to Max Weber's historic study of the connection between Protestantism (especially Calvinism) and Capitalism. Though Sombart does not wholly disagree with his colleague's thesis, he argues that the qualities of Puritanism that Weber observed in the Capitalist culture, were rooted in Judaism.A fascinating and scholarly treatise that will be appreciated as much by historians as financiers.
