註釋John Pitman was born in about 1663. He married Mary Saunders sometime prior to 1693. They lived in the Bahama Islands immigrated to the Colony of Rhode Island in about 1710. John and Mary were the parents of ten children. John died 1 December 1711. Descendants lived in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire and elsewhere.
