In order to assess the public attitude concerning traffic noise barriers, a questionnaire was distributed to householders living adjacent to four barriers. The locales studied were Rt. 17 in Ho-Ho-Kus, I-280 in Harrison, I-287 in Morristown, and the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge. A total of 75 questionnaires were completed.
