English Abstract: The euro crisis that constantly deepened rather than mitigated, disrupted across the Old Continent the equilibrium of social structures, in particular through the impoverishment of the middle class. This trend is a potential risk not only for social cohesion but mostly for the very existence of the so called western Republic . The reason is that a class is affected, which has always been a "cushion" which absorb the vibrations of competition and conflict of the social elites with the weak social groups, offering them chances and possibilities to overcome their misery. In most capitalist economies, the label of the middle class is based on an economic definition which is largely based in an lifestyle that can support someone financially. With the deepening of the crisis, the biodiversity of the middle class not only put at risk, but gives slowly the way to a new demographic group consisting of people who once were among the middle class and now have been marginalized. All this leads to a generalized uncertainty and totally unstable political behavior, with intense activity on the ends. The consequences for societies when their laminate center lost is obvious and significant.
