Edith Wharton Volume III. 25 Novelettes and Short Stories. Here and Beyond; Certain People; Human Nature; the World Over
註釋This extraordinary collection puts together, in three volumes, the 85 short stories/novelettes written by Edith Wharton, Pulitzer Prize-winning American novelist and short story writer, nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1927, 1928 and 1930. She combined her insider's view of America's privileged classes with a brilliant, natural wit to write humorous, incisive stories of social and psychological insight. She was well acquainted with many of her era's other literary and public figures, including Theodore Roosevelt. This third volume collects her works from 1920 to 1937, originally published in four books: HERE AND BEYOND; CERTAIN PEOP≤ HUMAN NATURE and THE WORLD OVER. It includes the story "ALL SOULS", the only new story in the 1937 collection "GHOSTS".
