Work-Related Accident: (In)Evitable Psychopathology?
註釋Objectives:- Characterize the population, context and psychiatric sequelae in work-related accidents- Define relationships between variables to determine risk factors for psychiatric sequelae and degrees of impairmentBackground:According to the Law that regulates the regimen of reparation in work-related accidents, these are defined as the accidents that occur on and during work and that directly or indirectly produce body lesion, functional impairment or illness from which results decrease in the capability to work or gain. The sequelae related to these accidents can be psychiatric and represent an important cause of functional limitation and economic repercussion both for the individual and employer.Materials and Methods:Retrospective study of the forensic psychiatric examinations conducted in the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences - Centre Delegation over a 5 year period by consulting the clinical lawsuits. The cases were characterized using variables such as demographic, social, type of accident, presence of psychiatric sequelae and their classification according to the ICD-10 diagnostic criteria.
