註釋Serves as a review of the relevant literature that examine potential strategies by which to systematically implement and enforce core labour standards. Shows that the core labour standards include the most fundamental of the ILO's labour conventions and feature four basic principles : freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining ; elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour ; effective abolition of child labour ; and elimination of discrimination in respect to employment and occupation. In particular, reviews two mechanisms for promoting core labour standards that have attracted increasingly significant attention in recent years : 1) social clauses in trade instruments, and 2) the role of voluntary codes of conduct and standards. Mentions ILO Conventions on Forced Labour, 1930 (No. 29), on Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise, 1948 (No. 87), on the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining, 1949 (No. 98), on Equal Remuneration, 1951 (No. 100), on the Abolition of Forced Labour, 1957 (No. 105), on Discrimination (Employment and Occupation), 1958 (No. 111), on Minimum Age, 1973 (No. 138), and on the Worst Forms of Child Labour, 1999 (No. 182).
