Gouverneur Morris
註釋Much credit for the "We the People of the United States" preamble of the Constitution can be given to one man. While his name is not as familiar as his fellow patriots, like George Washington or John Adams, outspoken Gouverneur Morris helped edit the final draft of this document. During the 1787 Constitutional Convention, he spoke more often than any other delegate. Morris was also the first founding father to push for the abolition of slavery.
