Northern Ireland, which is a part of the United Kingdom, has surged as a country with strong and stable economic growth, an innovative investment environment and an important connection to the EU with its shared border with Ireland. Brexit will effectively disconnect Northern Ireland from the EU and could have lasting effects on trade between the two entities. In this short article, we examine the unique laws on foreign investment in Northern Ireland and how the investment environment for real property may change in a post-Brexit world.
