註釋New edition of the autobiography of an elderly Western Australian shearer who has held the world record for shearing with hand shears. His life as a labourer, shearer and farmer reflects aspects of 20th-century social and rural economic history. The book was first published in 1991 by the University of Western Australia Press. The introduction to the original edition, by University of WA history lecturer, Charlie Fox, now appears as an afterword. The new foreword by Colin Thiele was first published as a review in 'Voices' magazine. The new edition also includes decorative line illustrations and is not for sale in Western Australia.
