The long-term success of the Kurds as a force in regional politics will depend on their ability to create cooperative relations among various Kurdish political movements. Kurdish demands need to be incorporated into the international community's policy of building sustainable peace. A long-term objective should be to aid the transformation and peaceful resolution of the Kurdish conflicts in the region. This requires international and regional powers to increase their engagement with a more diverse set of Kurdish political actors across the region.
