註釋Planned to offer an up-to-date tour of the most important space in ancient Tenochtitlan, the catalog begins with an introduction to the Proyecto Templo Mayor, written by the founder and first director of the MTM, Eduardo Matos Moctezuma. After the prologues, it includes the chapter dedicated to the new entrance hall to the Archaeological Zone of the Templo Mayor, where we will learn about the construction process of this space and the discoveries it made possible, such as the circular altar known as Cuauhxicalco. The different chapters of the catalogue are authored by renowned researchers and restorers of the MTM, such as Leonardo López Luján, Lourdes Gallardo Parrodi, Raúl Barrera Rodríguez, Emiliano Melgar Tísoc and Adrián Velázquez Castro. In addition, there is the participation of external specialists who have participated in the studies of the Templo Mayor. It also includes the re-edition of a text by Alfredo López Austin (1936-2021), about the myth of the goddess Coyolxauhqui, "fundamental to understanding the nature of the Templo Mayor itself and what better than with the direct translation from Nahuatl."
