註釋Summarizes data from surveys of pests of young stands conducted by the Forest Insect & Disease Survey 1991-95 with the objective of providing an overview of pest problems in young stands treated under the Canada-British Columbia Forest Resources Development Agreement. During the study period, over 140,000 trees were examined in 1,132 randomly selected stands located in 12 biogeoclimatic zones. The stands examined had received one or more of 20 different silvicultural treatments, with spacing and planting being the most common. Results presented include pest incidence and impact, numbers of stands by impact category, numbers of stands with occurrence of pests by pest species and biogeoclimatic zone, and proportion of pest-affected stands by zone and sub-zone.
