Just Like Magic
註釋

With forty knocking on my door, it feels like my life is falling apart, especially after my recent divorce.

Worse, I'm staring down an important deadline while tackling the worst writer’s block of my career. I need a change, and fast, so I put New York City in my rearview mirror and head north to the picturesque small town of Gossamer Falls. Two weeks of peace and quiet—just what I need to get out of my head and finish this book.

I’m expecting to spend my days staring at my laptop and exploring the tourist town, but I’m wholly unprepared for the hotel’s owner—sexy, sweet, charming Adam Shephard.

I should be focused on my overdue manuscript, not Adam’s sinful eyes and muscled arms. Or how his wavy hair falls across his forehead. Or the way his deep voice makes me feel things I haven’t felt in a very long time—which shouldn't matter to me, because Adam is not rebound material. He's sworn off love, and dating.

He's a distraction I cannot afford to indulge in.

But when I visit the allegedly magical falls, things start to happen. Things like Adam kissing the absolute daylights out of me and waking up something I thought my divorce had permanently smothered.

After two weeks in this sleepy little town, I know I’m in trouble. I can’t get enough of Adam Shephard—his laugh, his body, his gloriously dirty mouth.

But my life is elsewhere, and I don’t belong in Gossamer Falls. Even if it’s exactly where my heart wants to stay.
