註釋William Avery Rockefeller (1810-1906) married Eliza Davison, and moved from New York to Ohio to South Dakota and died in Freeport, Illinois. He was known as "Doc" and as "Big Bill," and was an itinerant sales- man. Among the children of William Avery and Eliza were John Davison Rockefeller Sr. (1839-1937) and William Rockefeller (1841-1922), who lived in New York and Ohio and (after they attained wealth) many other places. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, New Jersey, New England, Florida and elsewhere.
