註釋John Gooch (1790-1864) was born in Burke County, North Carolina, son of Jonas and Mary Gooch. He migrated to Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri, ca. 1817. Mary Tong (1796-1842) was born in Washington County, Maryland, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Thomas Tong. Her family migrated to Ohio County, Kentucky in 1806 and to Madison County, Missouri, ca. 1817. John and Mary were married ca. 1820. They had five children, 1821-1836, near Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri and in Lafayette County, Missouri. The family moved to Henry County, Missouri in 1836 and to Red River County, Texas, in 1841. Mary Gooch died there. The family moved to Williamson County, Texas in 1849. John Gooch married 2) Sarah Lollar in 1857. John and Sarah Gooch moved to Burnet County, Texas in 1858. John Gooch died there. Descendants lived in Texas and elsewhere.
