John R. Abney Papers
註釋Also including copy of letter, 25 Sept. 1922, New York City, to University of South Carolina president William D. Melton, reporting that he had not yet decided how to dispose of the extensive library of his late brother, Benjamin L. Abney (1858-1921), thanking him for sending a copy of the USC "Bulletin of the University," but complaining about it's contents: "Lest you may think ... that I approve of the [USC] Curriculum set forth in the Bulletin ... I think it contains too much [Abraham] 'Lincoln' ... I do not believe that we ought to let the present youth feel that the South fought in the wrong."
